A regular session of the Committee of Plenipotentiaries of JINR Member States

A regular session of the Committee of Plenipotentiaries of JINR Member States was opened today at the International Conference Hall.
JINR Vice-Director M.G.Itkis will make a report about recommendations of the 108th session of the JINR Scientific Council (September 2010), about plans of JINR activity in 2011 and a short overview of results of 2010. JINR Assistant Director on financial issues V.V.Katrasev will report about draft of the JINR budget of 2011 and about a draft of the plan of JINR member-states’ fees of 2012, 2013 and 2014.
Participants of the session will consider milestones of the JINR Financial Committee session which was held on 23-24 November 2010.
The Committee of Plenipotentiaries will schedule the election and recommendations for position of JINR Director.
JINR Assistant Director for Innovative Development A.V. Ruzaev will make a presentation about JINR innovative activity in 2011.
The election of members of the JINR Scientific Council will be held at the Session.
An agenda of the Session includes scientific reports by Academician V.A.Matveev “Problems and perspectives of neutrino and nuclear astrophysics”, Professor S.N.Dmitriev “Identification and research of chemical properties of new elements of the Mendeleev’s Periodic Table”.
After a general discussion signing of a protocol will be held.
Participants of the session will visit the Frank Laboratory of Neutron Physics and will participate in festive events dedicated to the National Day of Romania, which will be held in the Cultural Center “Mir”.
