A regular meeting of the NICA Machine Advisory Committee was held on 4-5 October 2010 at the Laboratory of High Energy Physics, JINR. This 3rd meeting was planned after previuos January’2010 MAC meeting in Dubna.
A list of members was very representative, experts from FNAL, BNL, GSI, FZJuelich, ITEP came to participate in the meeting. The goal of this meeting is to expertise and compile the review on the progress at NICA facility development, and mainly NICA collider. Meeting was opened by JINR vice-director Richard Lednicky and NICA project leaders Vladimir Kekelidze and Alexander Sorin.
The review and recomendations will be compiled during several days and it is expected that MAC review will be reported by MAC chairman Prof. B.Sharkov at JINR CPP meeting in November 2010.
