Dubna State University invites applications for the 5th all-Russian scientific and practical conference titled “Tasks and methods of neutron research of condensed matter”, which will take place from 24 to 27 November 2025 in a hybrid format. The university and the Joint Institute are holding the conference as part of the research programme of a grant of Russia’s Ministry of Science and Higher Education.

The event’s purpose is to discuss the latest achievements in the theory of neutron radiation interaction with matter, experimental design in neutron research, studies of crystalline and magnetic structures, dynamic properties and elementary excitations in condensed matter, the study of biological systems and cultural heritage sites, fundamental research with neutrons.

Conference topics:

  • condensed matter studies using neutron scattering;
  • development and modelling of neutron scattering stations;
  • neutron radiation detectors;
  • detector electronics;
  • experimental design in neutron studies;
  • automation and processing of experimental data;
  • life sciences.

The conference is organized in cooperation with Kazan (Volga Resion) Federal University (KFU), Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (MIPT), Konstantinov Petersburg Nuclear Physics Institute (PNPI) of the Kurchatov Institute, the Institute for Nuclear Research of the Russian Academy of Sciences (INR RAS), Mikheev Institute of Metal Physics of the Ural Branch of RAS (IMP UB RAS).

Abstracts of the participants’ talks will be published as a conference collection indexed in the Russian Science Citation Index.

Applications can be submitted until 3 November via the link.
