“Unbiased view of South Africa” lecture

The JINR Universal Public Library invites everyone interested to the “Unbiased view of South Africa: a developed country, stunning landscapes, and a ‘diamond’ history” lecture.
Date and Time: 29 August 2025, at 6:30 PM. The admission is free.
Venue: JINR Universal Public Library (13/7 Blokhintsev St).
South Africa is:
- rich natural resources, one of the world’s most developed economies, and 80% of the population living below the poverty line;
- well-developed infrastructure, excellent roads, three capitals, 11 official languages, and the highest crime rate;
- nuclear weapons and disarmament;
- the end of apartheid, unique racial, ethnic, and religious diversity, and isolated white enclaves;
- giraffes, lions, elephants, rhinos, and penguins;
- Kalahari’s heat, blooming desert, and snowfalls in July.
