Natural Science Review is an international online peer-reviewed journal on natural and technical sciences. It is an open periodical, free for authors and readers, following the principle “by scientists, for scientists”.

It is important for us that the achievements of modern science are accessible to any researcher from any country in the world, that the financial capabilities of a specialist or a research centre do not pose an obstacle, and that the research experience of the global scientific community serves as a starting point for the birth of original ideas and innovative solutions to fundamental issues.

The Natural Science Review authors are the ones who will lay the foundation for publicly available high-quality knowledge for the development of science of the future.

The journal’s subject area covers a wide range of natural and technical sciences, namely physics, chemistry, mathematical and computer sciences, Earth and environmental sciences, life sciences, as well as interdisciplinary and applied research.

Natural Science Review is a quarterly online periodical issued in English on the nsr.jinr.int website.

We use the continuous publication model, i. e. articles are published on the journal’s website immediately after they are reviewed by scientific and literary editors. All necessary information (databases, software packages, translations of the article into other languages, etc.) can be posted on the journal’s website as supplementary materials.

The Editorial Board headed by Editor-in-Chief, JINR Scientific Leader, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS) Victor Matveev consists of leading experts in natural sciences. As the subject area of the publications expands, the journal’s Editorial Board will gain new members. A thorough review of the manuscripts guarantees the quality of the published material.

Articles published in the Natural Science Review may be considered by the JINR Dissertation Councils as one of the three mandatory publications required for the defence of a candidate’s dissertation.

The International Scientific Advisory Board, which includes prominent scientists from all over the world, is responsible for strategic management. The Board is headed by JINR Director, RAS Academician Grigory Trubnikov and Scientific Leader of the Laboratory of Nuclear Reactions at JINR, RAS Academician Yuri Oganessian.

Natural Science Review has been published since 2024 in accordance with the recommendations of the Committee of Plenipotentiaries of the Governments of the JINR Member States dated 24.03.2024. The international intergovernmental organization Joint Institute for Nuclear Research is the journal’s founder and publisher.
