Seminars

Dzhelepov Laboratory of Nuclear Problems

DLNP joint laboratory seminar

Date and Time: Wednesday, 29 June 2022, at 11:00 AM

Venue: DLNP Conference Hall, Dzhelepov Laboratory of Nuclear Problems, online on Zoom

  1. Seminar topic: “JINR participation in T2K experiment”

    Speakers: V. V. Glagolev, I. A. Suslov, A. V. Bojkov

    Abstract:

The main goals of the T2K-II experiment are considered, including stages of creating the active target SuperFGD for the Near Detector ND280 of the T2K experiment, contribution of JINR staff to the study of sources of systematic errors for the ND280 detector; creating a platform and a top access system for the target assembly; developing an electronic unit for the SuperFGD calibration system. The forthcoming search for light dark matter using the data of the Near Detector of the T2K experiment is discussed.

(In connection with the prolongation of the T2K-II project.)

  2. Seminar topic: “SPASCHARM&GDH&NN Project”

    Speaker: Yu. A. Plis

    Abstract:

Participation of JINR staff in the experiments with polarized targets and beams will be discussed.

Resonance production and the measurement of single-spin asymmetries in pion-proton reactions, and also, later, the measurement of double-spin asymmetries with polarized protons and antiprotons at the accelerator at IHEP, Protvino.

Real photon experiments on the production of the nucleon resonance in a wide energy range up to 3.2 GeV, in particular, for checking the Gerasimov-Drell-Hearn sum rule and other theoretical models. Development of the electron polarimeter in the experiment on studying the parity-violating electron-proton scattering at the energy of 150 MeV at the future superconducting MESA accelerator (Mainz, Bonn).

Experiments with polarized neutrons of 14 MeV on a polarized deuteron target aimed at investigating three-nucleon interactions (Prague).

(In connection with the prolongation of the GDH&SPASCHARM project.)
