Seminar topic: “On the study of antiprotons yield in hadronic collisions at NICA SPD”

Speaker: Reham El-Kholy (University of Cairo, Egypt)

Abstract:

Uncertainties around the spectra and cross-sections of antiproton production in hadronic collisions of light nuclei are the most significant obstacle that astrophysical searches for dark matter need to overcome in order to treat the precision measurements performed by experiments such as AMS-02 and PAMELA. We present a Monte Carlo study of possible measurements of antiprotons yield at the planned SPD experiment at the NICA collider.
