The 43rd meeting of the JINR Programme Advisory Committee for Nuclear Physics was finished on 22 January 2016 in the JINR Club of Scientists. JINR Vice-Director R.Lednický informed the meeting on the Resolution of the 118th session of the JINR Scientific Council (September 2015) and on the decisions of the JINR Committee of Plenipotentiaries (November 2015). V.N.Shvetsov, Yu.N.Kopatch, M.V.Frontasyeva reported on the theme “Investigations in the Field of Nuclear Physics with Neutrons” and on the projects under this theme. A.V.Kulikov spoke about the COMET experiment.

Participants of the meeting discussed a draft of the Seven-Year Plan for the Development of JINR for 2017-2023 in the fields of nuclear physics research. M.G.Itkis, Yu.Ts.Oganessian, A.V.Eremin, A.S.Fomichev, S.N.Dmitriev made reports and presentations.

Scientific reports were presented by V.N.Shvetsov “Investigation of the composition of celestial bodies by neutron and gamma spectroscopy” and M.Gaidarov “Microscopic optical potential description of elastic scattering and breakup reactions of light exotic nuclei”. Young scientists made poster presentations on themes of the PAC.
