On 21 April 2017, JINR Universal Public Library invites everyone to participate in the annual All-Russian event the 6th Biblionight dedicated to the promotion of reading.

Mikhail Saltykov-Shchedrin become the “face” of this year event poster. The famous writer was born in the village of Spas-Ugol (an hour drive from Dubna) where he spent his childhood and where he often came to during his lifetime.

«Biblionight» – is an annual festival of reading, which takes place in April throughout Russia and in sime CIS countries. On this night, libraries, museums, galleries, bookstores, art spaces and clubs open their doors to visitors. The first event was initiated in 2012 by the library community and the Association of Culture Managers (ACM).
