The JINR dancing club invites you to Celebrate Samhain on 22 October 2016! Samhain was the primary celebration in the Celtic calendar until the rise of Christianity in the 7th century. Samhain marking the end of the harvest season and the beginning of winter or the “darker half” of the year. The celebrations making the boundaries between the summer and winter seasons as well as between the living and the dead, took place throughout the entire Celtic world.

Programme of the evening

• plain and cheerful Celtic dancing;
• reckless competitions;;
• tasty treats (which you can bring);
• disco!

Bright outfits and autumn colors dress up are very welcomed!

Special prizes for men wearing kilts!

A second pair of shoes required! (Girls, for your convenience, do not wear high heels)

Venue: Small Hall (2nd floor) of the JINR Cultural Centre “Mir” (1, Vysotsky alley).
