Latest issue of the JINR weekly newspaper #26, 29.06.17

News, 29 June 2017

Special issue of the JINR weekly newspaper devoted to the Youth Day in Russia.

27 June is the Youth Day in Russia. The history of the Russian Youth Day begins in the Soviet Union. On 7 February 1958, the Supreme Soviet of the Soviet Union established the Day of the Soviet Youth. It was celebrated on the last Sunday in June. Later, in 1993, it was moved it to a fixed date, 27 June. The holiday was renamed the Russian Youth Day.

It may be said that this holiday is almost coeval with our city and our Institute. Coeval, but also contemporary, because Dubna enterprises and organizations traditionally rely on young specialists and new generations of students, scientists, engineers, and newlyweds from year to year celebrate the Youth Day.

The today’s issue of our newspaper is devoted to young people. For only two months, we asked JINR employees to talk about their work, travels, experiences and achievements. Much, of course, stayed behind the scenes and the full picture would be more colorful, it would cover a lot more of cities of the world and our employees. But youth is so good because you already have experience, but you still have time. Read the materials of the issue and write your own articles!
