Trainees from Egypt Ms. Sahar Abdalhaleem, General Manager of the General Administration of Dispatch & International Cooperation of the Egyptian Atomic Energy Agency (EAEA), and Mr. Osama Abou El Fetouh, Executive Secretary of the Egyptian Information Network of Nuclear Physics, Database Administrator of the Egyptian Academy of Sciences and Technology (ASRT), Dr. Ged Wael Badawy, staff member of the Flerov laboratory of neutron physics JINR and Dr. Mahlomola Rudolph Nchodu, JINR trainee from South Africa, scientific reseacher of the iThemba Laboratory for Accelerator-Based Sciences were invited to participate in a regular meeting of the JINR Council of Heads of national groups. On the JINR side, the meeting was attended by representatives of Armenia, Belarus, Bulgaria, Cuba, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Mongolia, Poland, Romania, and Vietnam.

The representatives of the JINR Associated Members were informed in detail about the activities and the main objectives of the JINR Council of Heads of national groups, about the institution of Plenipotentiaries, the membership’s fee of the JINR Member States, the principles of financing of scientific research. The Council considered a wide range of issues – from organization of sporting and cultural events to management of an issue of pension provision for employees.

The meeting was attended by Assistant Director of the SO & IC Office W. Chmielowski, Deputy Head of the International Cooperation Department A.A. Kotova, and ICD Chief Engineer M.G.Loshchilov.
