NAUKA 0+ in Dubna University

The State University “Dubna” will be a regional platform of the Festival “NAUKA 0+”.

On 20 October 2018, the State University “Dubna” jointly with the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research will open the site “Hitchhiking around the Galaxy” for the first time in the frames of the All-Russian Festival of Science “NAUKA 0+”.

From 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, in the University’s buildings, everyone will have an opportunity to try his hand at the centres for preparation to space voyage, to take part in scientific experiments, to watch scientific shows as well as to gain experience at interesting workshops.

The following competitions will be held in the framework of the Festival “NAUKA 0+” in Dubna:

  • “Catch of the Galaxy”. The competition is made for young programmers. Their task will be to write a code for the algorithm that will be able to beat a rival and to capture his space.
  • “Pro Cosmos”. It is a creative competition. Participants will be offered to dream and create a representative of other civilization, an intergalactic aircraft or a new planet.

Honorary guests of the Festival “NAUKA 0+” will be:
pilot cosmonaut of Russia, Hero of the Russian Federation, Laureate of the Prize of the President of the Russian Federation, Chevalier of the Legion of Honour (France) Avdeev Sergey Vasilievich and pilot cosmonaut, Hero of the Russian Federation, RAS Corresponding Member Baturin Yuri Mikhailovich.
