On the eve of the parade dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the Great Victory in the Great Patriotic War, the JINR Publishing Department issued a new book “Vadim Vasilievich Volkov: Warrior. Citizen. Scientist” (Dubna: JINR, 2020. – 128 p.; [14] with photos. ISBN 978-5-9530-0534-0).

The book is dedicated to the memory of an outstanding Russian physicist, Doctor of Physics and Mathematics, Professor “Vadim Vasilievich Volkov (8.02.1923–22.04.2016). His entire creative life was connected to the Flerov Laboratory of Nuclear Reactions of the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research. The first part of the book contains letters from the front by Vadim Vasilievich to his future wife Anna Borisovna Guskova and his mother Maria Nikitichna Volkova. Memories of colleagues, students and relatives are published in the second part.
