Patents, 30 October 2020

The Licensing and Intellectual Property Department of JINR announces that on 16 October 2020, the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research received a patent for the invention “Device for measuring angles of inclination of surface”. The authors of the work are Budagov Yulian Aramovich and Lyablin Mikhail Vasilevich.

JINR staff congratulates the authors on receiving the patent for their invention!

More details about the invention

FIELD: monitoring and measuring equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to instrumentation and relates to the device for measuring inclination angles of the surface. The device includes a single-mode stabilized laser source fixed on the platform, a cuvette with a viscous dielectric liquid located on the path of the laser beam, a position-sensitive photodetector with a signal recording unit serving to determine the position of the laser beam reflected from the surface of the liquid. Besides, device additionally comprises plane-parallel optical plate located on the path of the beam and connected to platform, intended for reflection of part of the laser beam, located on platform second position-sensitive photodetector with recording unit, used to detect the signal of angular noise motion of laser beam, and a processing unit serving to subtract the laser beam angular noise motion signal from the main signal.
EFFECT: technical result is the higher sensitivity of the device.
