Patent for Device for resonance charge of capacitor received

Patents, 30 November 2020

The Licensing and Intellectual Property Department of JINR announces that on 26 October 2020, the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research received a patent for the invention “Device for resonance charge of capacitor”. The authors of the work are Dolya Sergey Nikolaevich and Smirnov Victor Ivanovich.

JINR staff congratulates the authors on receiving the patent for their invention!

More details about the invention

FIELD: electrical equipment.
SUBSTANCE: the device for resonance charge of capacitor relates to electrical engineering and conversion equipment and can be used to supply pulse loads. The device includes power supply, in-series connected to its transistor, inductance and capacitor. Rechargeable inductance and limiting transistor are connected in parallel to the capacitor. Due to the capacitor recharging to the voltage of the opposite sign, the charging current amplitudes from the cycle to the cycle increase as to value and thereby increase the energy transferred to the capacitor from the cycle to the cycle and reduce the capacitor charging time.
EFFECT: invention solves the technical problem of charging the capacitor to voltage several times higher than the voltage of the power supply source, and reduction of charge time
