On 13 – 14 April 2019, on the platform of the JINR Cultural Centre “Mir”, the scientific festival for children and adults “Days of Physics” was held for the 6th time. This year, the festival was dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the Periodic Table of Chemical Elements.

The main goal of the Festival is to evoke interest in science among children. Thus, it has an outstanding feature: school students are not just spectators, and not adults tell them about science. School children themselves construct facilities, solve complicated tasks and prepare creative experiments. The programme of “Days of Physics” was rich: it included fascinating physical and chemical experiments, workshops, a quest and a quiz. Apart from participants from Dubna, there were school students from other cities such as Bryansk, Volgograd, Glazov, Istra, St. Petersburg, Moscow.
