Dubna-Astana: a new agreement was signed

A new agreement on training of students from Kazakhstan in the University “Dubna” was signed on 23 June 2013 in the L.N.Gumilyov Eurasian National University (Astana, Kazakhstan).

This extended quadripartite agreement on establishment and implementation of the joint programme of training of bachelors and masters of nuclear physics that was signed in November 2009. Considering the agreement of 2009 students of the L.N.Gumilyov Eurasian National University (ENU) could train at the Nuclear physics Chair of the University of Dubna, using the experimental facilities of the Flerov Laboratory of Nuclear Reactions (JINR) for preparation of master dissertations. It allows Kazakh students to get a master diploma of the University of Dubna in addition to the national diploma. Dubna students now have the opportunities of a pre-graduation training at the accelerator DC-60 in Astana and a thesis defense in the Eurasian National University. Later training on Grid-technologies on the basis of the Institute of System Analysis and Management and the JINR Laboratory of Information Technologies for Kazakh students was included in this programme.

The new extended agreement is also quadripartite. The Joint Institute for Nuclear Research, the National Nuclear Center of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the University “Dubna” and the L.N.Gumilyov Eurasian National University participate in the implementation of the agreement. The extended agreement was supported by JINR Plenipotentiary of Kazakhstan K.K. Kadyrzhanov. The agreement was signed by Rector of the University «Dubna» D.V. Fursaev and Rector of the L.N.Gumilyov Eurasian National University Ye.B. Sydykov.
