After meeting with the JINR Directorate Ukrainian specialists were shown the major basic facilities in the Veksler and Baldin Laboratory of High Energy Physics, the Flerov Laboratory of Nuclear Reactions, at the JINR Medical and Technical Complex of the Dzhelepov Laboratory of Nuclear Problems.

-I was convinced once again that JINR is an interesting institution, unique, one of a few in the world where not just in words but in deeds partnership and cooperation, which we talk about so much, but few do, are being implemented – shared his impressions V.Y. Yelchenko – I think it is largely due to JINR that we were able to maintain nuclear science, which has always been strong in Ukraine during severe changes. So I think that our future is in this joint potential and I hope that this cooperation between Ukraine and Russia will take place in all other areas.

At the end of the visit a meeting of Ukrainian scientists who work in JINR was held in the JINR Scientists Club.

– Ukraine takes an active part in JINR activities – said First Deputy Chairman of the State Agency for Science, Innovation and Informatization of Ukraine B.V.
