Session of Committee of Plenipotentiary Representatives

On 25 May, the JINR International Conference Hall will host a regular session of the Committee of Plenipotentiaries of the Governments of the JINR Member States in a hybrid format. Representatives of Azerbaijan, Belarus, Cuba, Georgia, Egypt, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Mongolia, Romania, and Russia will arrive in Dubna for participation.

JINR Director RAS Academician Grigory Trubnikov will traditionally open the session with a report on the latest events in the life of JINR. He will also present to the session participants the concept of the Seven-year plan for the development of JINR for 2024 – 2030, taking into account the adjustments of the JINR long-term scientific strategy, the optimisation of the structure of the JINR Topical Plan for Research and International Cooperation, as well as the financing and staffing of research projects.

Head of the Budget and Economic Policy Department Nikolay Kalinin will speak about the execution of the JINR budget for 2021 and draft of the revised budget of JINR for 2022.

Chief Scientific Secretary of the Institute Sergey Nedelko will tell participants of the session about the proposals for improving the standard regulation of cooperation programmes and grants of Plenipotentiaries of the JINR Member States. He will also report on the membership of the JINR Scientific Council. JINR Director Grigory Trubnikov will introduce the proposals for changes in the membership of the JINR Scientific Council.

Chairman of the Finance Committee Arsen Khvedelidze will report on the results of the meeting of the JINR Finance Committee held on 23 May 2022.

Within the framework of the upcoming session, Plenipotentiary Representative of the Slovak Republic in JINR Fedor Šimkovic will present a statement.

The session will be completed by a general discussion, after which the Committee of Plenipotentiaries of JINR will make decisions.
