On 14 February 2018, the Association of Young Scientists and Specialists of JINR organized an excursion to the National Research Institute “The Kurchatov Institute”.

There are three museums at the territory of the Institute apart from operating facilities and scientific and administrative infrastructures. However, it is not so easy to get the opportunity to visit them as far as special agreement with press-office is needed. Our excursion comprised visits to two museums – the museum of the Institute’s war and science glory and the museum of the first nuclear reactor F-1. The Kurchatov house is now under reconstruction so we could not see how this brilliant scientist lived. In addition, we visited the synchrotron and the medical building.
