Symposium on Exotic Nuclei

News, 06 September 2018

The IX International Symposium on EXOtic Nuclei (EXON-2018) will be launched on 10 September 2018. The Symposium will be held in Petrozavodsk, Russia.

The organizers of the Symposium are: JINR (Dubna), RIKEN (Wako-shi), GANIL (Caen), GSI (Darmstadt), NSCL (Michigan, PetrSU (Petrozavodsk) – the scientific and educational centers where exotic nuclei are intensively studied.

The main goal of the Symposium EXON-2018 will be discussion of the latest results on the production and study of the properties of the lightest to heaviest nuclei, as well as the plans for future joint investigations in the field of exotic nuclei.

The Symposium will be devoted to the investigation of nuclei in extreme states and, in particular, at the limits of nuclear stability (from very light neutron- and proton-rich up to superheavy nuclei).

The programme will include verbal and poster presentations. The reports will be made on the following themes: properties of light exotic nuclei; superheavy elements, their synthesis and properties; rare processes and decays; radioactive beams, their production and research programmes; experimental facilities and future projects.
