The Joint Institute for Nuclear Research is pleased to invite journalists to take part in media days, to be held once a month, alternating for foreign and Russian media.
The Joint Institute for Nuclear Research is an international intergovernmental organization, a world famous scientific centre that is a unique example of integration of fundamental theoretical and experimental research with development and application of the cutting edge technology and university education.
During the three-day program, the participants will be able to get acquainted with the work of the Institute, to visit the JINR laboratories and see the basic facilities, as well as to communicate with the researchers.
Schedule in 2017:
Coming media days:
- For foreign journalists: 17 – 19 May
- For Russian journalists: 14 – 16 June
How it was:
Veksler and Baldin Laboratory of High Energy Physics. Presentation of the mega-science project NICA (supported by the Government Commission on High Technology and Innovation under Vladimir Putin’s Presidency and the Presidential Council for Science and Education). Excursion to the Nuclotron and the Factory of Superconducting Magnets. Visit to the NICA construction site on the territory of VBLHEP (16 institutions and organizations of the Russian Federation, 79 institutions from 30 foreign countries participate in this project).
