Abstract:

Schemes of proton polarisation control in the NICA collider are developed for two configurations of the spin transparency (ST) mode using the MPD solenoid and one-meter 6T-solenoids. The first configuration of the ST mode with the MPD solenoid and one 6T-solenoid provides polarisation control of protons in the momentum range up to 1.6 GeV/c. The second configuration of the ST mode with four 6T-solenoid provides operation with polarised protons in the momentum range up to 3.2 GeV/c. The developed scheme of polarisation control in the ST mode allows one to implement a spin flipping system producing multiple flips of the polarisation direction of all bunches simultaneously during experiments, thus reducing their systematic errors. The results of numerical simulation of the spin dynamics in the indicated configurations of the ST mode are presented.
