15th International Baikal Summer School invites applications

Registration for the 15th Baikal International Summer School on Physics of Elementary Particles and Astrophysics is open. Scheduled to take place on 11–18 July 2025 in Bolshie Koty village (Irkutsk Region, Russia) on the shore of Lake Baikal, the event is organized by the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research and Irkutsk State University.

The school’s scientific programme includes lectures by leading scientists on multi-messenger astronomy, neutrino physics, gamma-ray astronomy, high energy astrophysics, the Standard Model and physics beyond it, and gravity. Curated hands-on classes will include simulating physics facilities, working with detectors, and engaging in group discussions with other students.

Teams of participants will work on scientific projects on the school subjects and compete with each other. In addition, the programme includes student presentations and a poster session.

Undergraduates, postgraduates, and young scientists are invited to take part in the event. Registration is available until 31 May via the school’s website.
