On 18 March 2026, at 4:00 PM, the Association of Young Scientists and Specialists at JINR invites everyone interested to the next seminar that will take place in the Big Hall of the JINR Scientists’ Club (6 Joliot-Curie St, left side).

An FLNP research intern Polina Filonchik will deliver a presentation titled “Icebergs, penguins, Antarctica”.

The speaker will discuss her participation in the 71st Russian Antarctic Expedition. At the seminar, the audience will learn: what is the difference between the Arctic and Antarctica? Is there a fifth ocean? What do scientists do during expeditions and how to join one?
