“PLAY” exhibition by sculptor Sergey Serezhin
Culture
From 13 January to 8 February 2026, the JINR Mir Cultural Centre invites everyone interested to the exhibition by the outstanding sculptor and corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Arts, Sergey Serezhin, titled “PLAY”.
The central work of the exhibition is the “Dowry” sculpture, which serves as the focal point of the conceptual narrative. This work, along with the other sculptures presented in the project, reveals a lesser-known, more intimate aspect of the sculptor’s artistry, showcasing his deep fascination with metaphor, symbolism, and the intricate play of meanings embedded within the bronze.
Sergey Serezhin is a member of a dynasty of sculptors and a graduate of the Surikov Moscow State Academy of Arts and Industry. His artistic journey is a fusion of academic traditions reinterpreted through the lens of contemporary artistic language. Sergey Seryozhin is the author of numerous monuments, including the Archangel Michael, the Monument to Admiral Ushakov in Mikhailovsk, Stavropol Krai, the Radio Operator’s Desk in New Moscow, the Monument to Sergius of Radonezh in Kashira, and many others.
The opening ceremony will take place on 13 January at 6:00 PM.
The exhibition will be open daily from 1:00 to 7:00 PM (except Monday) at the exhibition hall of the JINR Mir Cultural Centre. Admission is free.
