At the end of February, the JINR Scientific Council session was held. Director of JINR Grigory Trubnikov and Vice-Director of JINR Latchesar Kostov commented on the concept of the new Seven-Year Plan for the Development of JINR that was presented at the session. They also spoke about the research in the fields of life science and condensed matter physics planned within its framework, the development of the existing and planned for creation new experimental facilities.

The leaders of the Institute noted in their comments that a priority task of JINR of the last decade was the upgrade and development of the experimental base. The JINR Long-Term Development Strategy up to 2030 and beyond is aimed at the comprehensive development of intellectual potential along with improvement of the scientific-research infrastructure.
