29th Conference “Mathematics. Computing. Education” started

The event organized jointly with JINR is taking place from 24 to 28 January online. Conferences of the MCE series are interdisciplinary and are aimed at consolidation of efforts of scientists and professors, preservation of traditions of Russian science and education, scientific and teaching staff training in the fields of math modelling and IT, attracting the youth to science and education.

JINR Director Grigory Trubnikov welcomed participants of the event and noted the necessity to hold conferences the topic of which is at the intersection of sciences. Academician Trubnikov also highlighted the existing cooperation between JINR and the Pushchino Scientific Centre for Biological Research RAS, which is one of the organizers of the MCE Conference. He also noted prospects for cooperation enhancement on the scientific programme on life sciences. Moreover, there was an idea proposed for developing cooperation of JINR and Pushchino through the future MSU branch in Dubna. One of its Departments will be related to biomedicine. “In this regard, cooperation of our centres will be even more mutually enriching,” Grigory Trubnikov highlighted.

Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the Conference, Director of the Laboratory of Information Technologies JINR Vladimir Korenkov also addressed participants with a welcoming speech. He drew the attention of the audience to the fact that the multidisciplinary character of the Conference is a rarity. Scientific Leader of the Joint Institute Academician Victor Matveev in his report presented the tasks of fundamental physics.

The programme of the Conference includes plenary sessions and sections in the format of oral and poster presentations. The evening programme of the event includes round tables, lectures, personal evenings, concerts, etc. In the frames of the MCE-2022 agenda, the symposium with international participation “Biophysics of complex systems. Computational and systems biology. Molecular modelling” and the round table “Cultural space of Russia. Russian scientific language” will be held.

Reports selected by supervisors of sections will be published in the collection of proceedings of the Conference and in the journal “Computer research and modelling”.
