IT school on digital economy and mega-science projects

On 17 – 18 November 2020, the II School of Young Scientists “High-performance Platforms for Digital Economy and Mega-Science Scientific Projects” organized by Plekhanov Russian University of Economics took place in the online format.

Along with the Plekhanov University, The School’s organizers were the Russian Science Foundation and the Laboratory of Information Technologies of the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research.

The goal of the School is to acquaint young scientists, post-graduates, and students with modern high-performance platforms and their use for the tasks of the digital economy and large-scale scientific projects.

In the framework of the School’s programme, leading Russian scientists gave talks, including Vladimir Korenkov, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor, LIT Director, Head of the scientific laboratory “Cloud Technologies and Big Data Analytics” (SL CTBDA) at the Plekhanov University, Head of the DICS ISAM of the University “Dubna”, and Petr Zrelov, Candidate of Physics and Mathematics, Head of the Scientific and Technical Department of Software and Information Support of LIT, a leading researcher of the SL CTBDA. One of the lecturers was also Andrey Tsaregorodtsev who actively interacts with LIT JINR, Candidate of Technical Sciences, a senior research engineer at the Centre de Physique des Particules du Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique, University of Aix-Marseille (Marseille, France), a senior researcher at the SL CTBDA.

The event was attended by students of the International School on Information Technologies “Big data analytics”, students, post-graduates, and professors of the Institute of System Analysis and Management of the State University “Dubna”, as well as young scientists of the Joint Institute. Among the participants of the event, there were also representatives of the Plekhanov University, the RUDN University, the HSE University, the St. Petersburg, Tver, and Tomsk State Universities.
