On 22 April 2016, JINR welcomed a delegation from its sister city of Kurchatov (Kazakhstan) headed by akim Nurbol Nurgaliyev accompanied by Deputy Director General for Science of the Institute of Atomic Energy of the National Nuclear Center of Kazakhstan Маzhyn Skakov and Chairman of Management Board of the JSC “Park of Nuclear Technologies” Alexander Borisenko.

The purpose of the visit was to develop relations between our sister cities Dubna and Kurchatov, and to outline new points of development in science, as well as in the fields of business and education. During the visit, the guests visited the Laboratory of High Energy Physics, the construction site of the NICA mega-science project, the new JINR Visit Centre and the SEZ “Dubna”.
