XXIV Baldin Seminar

News, 14 September 2018

The XXIV International Baldin Seminar on High Energy Physics Problems “Relativistic Nuclear Physics and Quantum Chromodynamics”, organized by the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research, will be held from 17 to 22 September 2018 in Dubna, Russia.

The Seminar continues the series of traditional meetings that was established by the outstanding scientist Academician Baldin Alexander Mikhailovich. The International Seminars on High-Energy Physics Problems started in 1969 with support of M.A. Markov. They have been given an inofficial name “Baldin autumn”.

Specialists from leading research centres and universities of Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Brazil, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Estonia, France, Germany, Iran, Italy, Japan, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Mongolia, Poland, Russia, Slovakia, Switzerland, Ukraine, the USA and Uzbekistan will come to the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research to participate in the Baldin Seminar 2018. About 190 reports are expected to be delivered, some of which will be devoted to the results of experiments conducted in almost all world scientific centres.

The programme presents reports from the major experimental collaborations and summaries of the major theoretical and experimental advances made in relativistic nuclear physics.

Opening of the Seminar is set on 17 September 2018, at 10:00 AM, in the Big Conference Hall of the Veksler and Baldin Laboratory of High Energy Physics.
