AYSS-2019

On Monday, 15 April 2019, the 23rd International Scientific Conference of Young Scientists and Specialists (AYSS-2019) will be launched in the Laboratory of Information Technologies JINR. The Conference will be dedicated to the International Year of the Periodic Table of Chemical Elements. The year 2019 marks the 150th anniversary of the Periodic Law by Dmitri Mendeleev.

The Conference is held annually and attended by students, postgraduates, young scientists and specialists from scientific centres from all over the world. The selected reports will be recommended to publication in specially issued journals. Reports recommended by the competition committee will be submitted to publication in the refereed journals. The working language of the Conference is English.

In the framework of the Conference, leading scientists will give lectures on the advanced theoretical, experimental and applied research conducted all over the world with the emphasis on the major results obtained at JINR. Among the topics of reports, there will be theoretical physics mathematical modelling and computation physics, high energy physics, particle accelerators and nuclear reactors, experiential nuclear physics, applied research, information technologies, condensed matter physics, life sciences.

JINR Vice-Director Boris Sharkov will make the presentation “JINR – a world center for fundamental physics”. Alexander Karpov will speak about the Superheavy Element Factory. Evgeny Lavrik will deliver a report devoted to the Compressed Baryonic Matter experiment at FAIR.
