JINR’s 65th Anniversary Exhibition

Exhibition Dedicated to the 65th Anniversary of Foundation of JINR

Within the framework of the program of events for the celebration of the 65th anniversary of JINR, an exhibition is being prepared. Below you can see general view and individual exhibits of the exposition.

The exposition includes exhibits about the NICA/MPD accelerator complex, synthesis of new superheavy elements and the SHE-Factory, fundamental and applied research at the IBR-2 reactor, the deep underwater neutrino experiment at Lake Baikal, about the JINR Multifunctional Information and Computing Complex and Govorun Supercomputer.

A special stand will be devoted to applied research at JINR in the field of application of nuclear physics methods in Life Sciences. These are astrobiology, nuclear planetology, nuclear medicine and radiobiology.

For the exhibition, an exhibit “JINR Timeline” is being prepared. It is about the history of the Institute, the outstanding achievements of JINR in the field of experimental and theoretical physics, international cooperation and, of course, the scientists who are the pride of our institute.

The exhibition will take place in the Small Hall of the JINR Cultural Center “MIR “ from March to June 2021.
