Visit of a Czech delegation

A two-day visit to JINR of a Czech delegation headed by Director of the NUVIA company Martin Pazur and Director of the Institute of Experimental and Applied Physics of the Czech Technical University Ivan Štekl was held on 10-11 May 2017.

In the frames of the visit a meeting with JINR Director V.A. Maveev, JINR Vice-Director R. Lednický, JINR Chief Scientific Secretary A.S. Sorin and JINR Chief Engineer B.N. Gikal was held.

After the meeting at the JINR Directorate, the guests visited JINR laboratories. The delegation was acquainted with the cyclotron complex of the Flerov Laboratory of Nuclear Reactions; the Czech colleagues visited the Medico-Technical Complex at the Dzhelepov Laboratory of Nuclear Problems, and also the Scientific and Engineering Group of the JINR University Centre. At the Veksler and Baldin Laboratory of High Energy Physics the delegation visited the Factory of Superconducting Magnets and was acquainted with the mega-science project NICA, the guest visited the JINR Multifunctional Information and Computing Complex of the Laboratory of Information Technologies.

During the visit, the delegation also had an excursion to the SEZ «Dubna» where the guests visited the customs infrastructure, construction sites of resident companies as well as scientific and production complexes with an already established release of innovative products.
